As the Biotech4Food project progresses, our agenda will be full of activities and events. That’s why we want to share with you the important dates to keep in mind.
In the coming months, we will be attending events focusing on innovation in the food sector, such as NutrEvent and EIT Next Food Bites 2024. We will also be present at the Clusters Meeting Regions 2024, a conference where we will highlight the value of cooperation between different European regions and clusters, using the example of the I4CE partnership and the resulting Biotech4Food project.
Finally, we, the 26 partners of the consortium, will be able to meet in person for the first time since the beginning of the project. This meeting will take place in Pamplona, Navarra (Spain), where we will organise the second Steering Committee meeting of the year. In Pamplona, our partners will be able to participate in various activities such as the AseBio conference and a visit to the facilities of CNTA and Ingredalia, two of the B4F partners.
NutrEvent: Where innovation partnerships emerge
This event will take place on 1 and 2 October in Lille, France, with the aim of showcasing the latest innovations in food, human and animal nutrition. In Lille, participants will have the opportunity to meet various industry players such as agrifoodtech start-ups, SMEs, research centers, investors or universities.
The activities that make up NutrEvent 2024 are one-on-one meetings, conferences, exhibitions and pitch sessions.

EIT Next Food Bites: Building the future of food together
At this event, which focuses on the most game-changing technologies and innovations for the food industry, Biotech4Food will hold a poster where we will be able to describe the project to the audience and some of the results we have already achieved.
Visitors will have the opportunity to network with some of the largest international innovation communities and discover new policy developments and innovative solutions to complex problems facing the agri-food industry.
Activities are divided into three different themes: Healthier Lives Through Food, Net Zero Food System and Fair and Resilient Food System. Each theme will be celebrated with conferences on different stages.
EIT Food also gives visitors access to a new online platform called AgriFoodTech Ventures, where you can connect with agrifoodtech start-ups, business angels, impact funds, VCs, CVCs and leading European agrifood companies and universities.

Biotech4Food meets in Pamplona
It is time to celebrate the second Steering Committee of the year in Pamplona, Navarra (Spain). To this end, our 26 partners will travel to the city in the North of Spain to take part in various activities related to the biotechnology ecosystem and to celebrate the Committee.
On the first day, participants will attend the AseBio: Green Innovation Forum, a one-day conference dedicated to innovation in biotechnology and the green economy.
On the second day, Biotech4Food will visit the facilities of CNTA and Ingredalia, two partners in the consortium.
Finally, on the last day of the trip, the Steering Committee will be celebrated and it will be the first time that the 26 members of the consortium will meet in person.

Clusters Meet Regions: Charleroi Metropole ‘s economic revival.
In this edition of Clusters Meet Regions, we will take the example of the economic transformation that the Charleroi region in Belgium has undergone in recent decades.
On 27 and 28 November, the event will look at the development of life sciences, cleantech and advanced manufacturing in Belgium and how other regions can follow this path. It will also explore how regional development agencies, clusters and other stakeholders can foster greater cooperation in the implementation of regional and national economic development policies.
The programme of the event has not yet been published, but we will let you know as soon as possible.

PITCH PERFECT AND BOOST THE EUROPEAN BIOECONOMY: Pitching, Matchmaking And Networking In The Heart Of Europe!
On 2 and 3 December, Belgium will host the Pitch Perfect and Boost the European Bioeconomy 2024 edition. It is a two-day event of intensive cross-border and cross-sectoral pitching, matchmaking and networking with the aim of connecting industry with innovative (bio)based technologies, innovators with investors and creating new partnerships for the future and further development of innovative, cross-border and cross-sectoral industrial value chains in the bio-based economy.
The coordinator of Biote4chFood, Wagralim, will also be present at Pitch Perfect & Boost Bioeconomy 2024 to meet other players in the sector, see the latest developments, etc.
The programme of the event is divided into different activities such as Pitching & Call for Pitch Abstracts, Matchmaking, Innovation Scouting, Networking and Satellite events.
