On 15th and 16th October, Rome (Italy) will host the 2024 edition of EIT Food Next Bite, an event that brings together the most disruptive food tech companies to share knowledge, experiences and barriers in the food sector.
As Biotech4Food project we will go there to hold a poster session during the event to provide information on the project. Also, some members of the consortium will be present to exchange knowledge and learn more about this sector.
At EIT Food Next Bite you will be able to network with some of the largest international innovation communities, discover new policy developments and innovative solutions to complex problems facing the agri-food industry.
If you are interested on this event, we encourage you to get the pass here.
As always, this is a great opportunity to network with professionals in your sector. But that is not the only benefit of attending the EIT Food Bite Event 2024:
This section will explore the link between food choices and overall health, highlighting its significant impact on wellbeing and vitality. The various conferences and sessions in this part of the program will cover the benefits of the microbiome, nutrition, food safety, consumer confidence and the use of AI to improve the food sector.
A series of conferences focusing on the FARM TO FORK strategy. A plan that aims to reduce the industry’s emissions by reducing waste, increasing efficiency and promoting responsible consumption practices. Some of the sessions will cover topics such as waste re-use, biotechnology, regenerative agriculture and alternative proteins.
The place to see the most disruptive initiatives. A series of conferences and pitching sessions to discover how to disrupt traditional business models and introduce innovative frameworks in the food industry. Some of the sessions will focus on the competitive future of the sector, protein diversification, cultured meat, precision farming, new policies and biotechnology.
It is a platform created by the EIT organisers to connect agrifoodtech start-ups, business angels, impact funds, VCs, CVCs and leading European agrifood companies and universities. It works like another stage, but in a virtual world, with its own themes and sessions. There you can exchange ideas, foster collaboration and build partnerships to drive positive change in the food system.
Only the public who have been granted access to this platform by the organisers will be able to use this application.
The various conferences that the audience will have access to are related to the state of agrifood tech, startup learnings, sustainable packaging, AI and robotics in food production, and the startup funding landscape.
