The Role and Objectives of the Biotech4Food Advisory Board
The Biotech4Food Advisory Board plays a central role in supporting the strategic development and implementation of the project, acting as a key interface between innovation, industry, policy and investment perspectives within the agri-food biotechnology ecosystem.
Composed of representatives from clusters, research and technology organisations, innovation actors and other relevant stakeholders, the Advisory Board provides targeted expertise and guidance to both the consortium and participating SMEs throughout the project’s lifecycle. To date, two Advisory Board meetings have been held, with a third meeting planned for September 2026.
The main objectives of the Advisory Board are:
- Provide specific support to the consortium and its SMEs, contributing expertise and insights to address challenges related to innovation, scale-up and market deployment
- Give guidance and feedback on the consortium’s work, helping to identify financial opportunities, relevant topics, projects and complementary initiatives
- Support strategic implementation and roadmapping activities, contributing to the definition of priorities and long-term directions, particularly within the framework of strategic analysis and value chain development
Through its meetings and ongoing exchanges, the Advisory Board helps ensure that Biotech4Food remains aligned with industry needs, emerging market trends and broader European priorities in agri-food biotechnology. Its contributions strengthen the project’s capacity to translate validated technological solutions into sustainable business models and interregional innovation investments with long-term impact.
