Fermentation for healthy and sustainable food

The European Biotech4Food project, of which Innov’Alliance is a partner, supports the development and adoption of biotechnologies in the agri-food and nutraceutical sectors. Its objective is to promote innovation in companies in order to build a more sustainable agri-food system.

Within this framework, COCONT is developing plant-based alternatives using fermentation processes. The company is currently adapting an innovative tempeh on an industrial scale and recently inaugurated a production site dedicated to fermented beverages in Saint-Beauzire.

Overview of fermentation trends and opportunities

This morning session will be an opportunity to:

  • discover current trends in fermentation and their applications in healthy and sustainable food,
  • gain a better understanding of the development opportunities these processes offer for your activities,
  • discuss projects with the COCONT team and other participants,
  • visit the production site and take part in a tasting of fermented products

Morning programme

10:00 am: Welcome coffee
10:15 am: Introduction to Innov’Alliance – Biotech4Food project
10:45 am: Presentation of the COCONT project
11:00 am: Tour of the production site, tasting of fermented products with Terra’Senso
12:00 pm – 1:00 pm: Cocktail reception
