A new episode of the Biotech4Food regional video series features Central Macedonia, Greece, and showcases the region’s growing biotech and agri-food innovation ecosystem, coordinated locally by ATECluster.

The video opens with Maria Goulaptsi, Head of the Directorate for Innovation and Entrepreneurship Support at the Region of Central Macedonia, who outlines the region’s priorities for fostering innovation. She also introduces the Central Macedonia Programme, co-funded by the European Commission, and its connection to the Biotech4Food project.

Theodoros Tsamourtzis, Managing Director of ATECluster, explains the region’s involvement in Biotech4Food and the I4CE platform (Ingredients for a Circular Economy). He highlights how local stakeholders — including companies, clusters, and institutions — are working together to promote sustainable development in biotechnology and the agri-food sector.
