The Biotech4Food project is progressing with its regional video series, shining a light on Navarra, Spain’s dynamic biotechnology and agrifood innovation landscape.

The video begins with Sandra Aguirre from the NAGRIFOOD cluster, introduces the overall objectives of the Biotech4Food project and outlines the cluster’s role in supporting local biotech companies and fostering sector growth in the region. She highlights the resources and initiatives aimed at strengthening Navarra’s position in the biotech field.

Inés Echeverría, representing CNTA (National Centre for Food Technology and Safety), explains the assistance CNTA provides to biotech innovators. The video also features footage of CNTA’s laboratories and pilot plant, showcasing the technological infrastructure available to companies in the region.

The SME focus is on Ingredalia, a circular economy and foodtech company that specializes in valorizing plant-based by-products. Miguel Ángel Cubero shares insights into their business activities and discusses some of the opportunities and challenges they face operating in Navarra.

The video concludes with Sergio Pérez, Director of Foreign Action at the Government of Navarra, who talks about regional policies and incentives designed to attract biotech companies and investment. He also outlines future plans to further develop the biotech sector within the region.
